It has recently been revealed that the University of Calgary Board of Governors had approved an $8.1 million renovation of executive offices in the administration building on campus. Of the $8.1 million, $3.5 million was used to bring the building up to current standard codes, the other $4.6 million was to create new executive offices. The offices include a $150,000 staircase, a more than 400 sq/ft office space for Elizabeth Cannon and a 12.8-meter-long wood veneer table. The undersigned is a request that the Board of Governors attend an open town hall meeting after December 6 to explain to the University of Calgary student body why the aforementioned expenditures were necessary and answer all unexplained questions in an open and non-confrontational manner.
