Edward F. Villa saw an officer beating up a women, the woman was resisting an arrest. Edward came to stop the police man from using force. The police man had a fight with Edward and the officer was very mean and pushed Edward so Edward spitted on the police officer.
He got an unlimited time in jail and a 40,000$ fine
I have been thinking a lot about the arbitrary nature of the fines they slapped on him because forty thousand dollars is an impossible amount for anyone to just come up with suddenly and it really shows how disconnected this whole system is from reality. People keep sending me messages about how they remember seeing Edward in the neighborhood and it honestly keeps me up at night knowing he is still stuck in there over a situation that turned sideways so fast.

Eddi is a kind individual and unlimited jail time seems unreasonable given the alleged circumstances. Also, Eddi requires care from a team of medical professionals. I am asking that he receive legal support in order that the situation be appropriately rectified.

I have known Edward for two years on Facebook, and he is the sweetest, kindest and gentle soul I have ever met. he would give what he had little or not to help others. It is most unfortunate that he was at the wrong place at he wrong time especially with the police there is a fine line one cannot cross. He needs to be placed in a mental facility where he can be properly treated for his bipolar disorder. Please pray that his sentence gets reduced

Mr. Villa should not have interfered. But knowing him as I do, as a soldier and kind-hearted man, he must have had good reason to intervene. I respectfully request the court to reconsider Mr. Villa's actions and reduce his sentence.

Edward's high character has been expressed by many over the years on Facebook, if he stepped in he had a good reason and should never have been imprisoned!!!
