Eddi is a kind individual and unlimited jail time seems unreasonable given the alleged circumstances. Also, Eddi requires care from a team of medical professionals. I am asking that he receive legal support in order that the situation be appropriately rectified.

Edward is a fine, educated man, if he sees unjustice, he react like a real gentleman. Please release him. He has a wonderful soul and everyone that knows him, knows it....

Edward's high character has been expressed by many over the years on Facebook, if he stepped in he had a good reason and should never have been imprisoned!!!

I have known Edward for two years on Facebook, and he is the sweetest, kindest and gentle soul I have ever met. he would give what he had little or not to help others. It is most unfortunate that he was at the wrong place at he wrong time especially with the police there is a fine line one cannot cross. He needs to be placed in a mental facility where he can be properly treated for his bipolar disorder. Please pray that his sentence gets reduced

Edward Villa is a sincere person, and he would stand up for the helpless whenever he could. Since the arresting officer was in "plain-clothes" attire, it is my belief that Eddie mistakenly thought that the man (hidden police) was attempting to rape or to rob a defenseless woman. Crimes like this occur every day, ironically because there are so few police in uniform walking the beat. If LAPD had more officers, and had more community respect, then whatever crimes they are trying to prevent might be happening less. We are not informed about the alleged crime of the woman here. Edward did not harm either the officer or the woman, and he has been treated harshly and unfairly. I cannot believe that any court would uphold his continued imprisonment. Eddie thought he was supporting the bible verse: 'do not stand idly by on your neighbor's blood.' He made an understandable mistake.

Mr. Villa should not have interfered. But knowing him as I do, as a soldier and kind-hearted man, he must have had good reason to intervene. I respectfully request the court to reconsider Mr. Villa's actions and reduce his sentence.

Edward is a dear Facebook friend of mine. I have always found him to be loving and sensitive in all his posts. Please release him from prison so that he can receive proper mental health care. Thank you.
