Corruptionis being fueled in our cities, towns and state by elected officials who have placed their own greed, goals and plans to ensure their 1% status for themselves and their families generations to come over what is best for OUR cities, towns, state and citizens. This should be, no IS illegal! And we the people, whom, without us, these elected officials would be non-existent, have hit the boiling point! When that pot spills over, MANY, SO MANY, will burn. We have followed the laws, the rules and this dogma for way to long believing that things will eventually get better, these hikes are temporary. Boy were we wrong! We pay and agreed to pay taxes because we are told it is what keeps our cities and state up to date while also providing services to assist those who need them. We understand that the world we live in today is far more expensive than the world was in the past. However, with new research, technology and the continuing growth of knowledge our cities, our state, and most importantly our citizens' struggle should be decreasing each year; leading to what is deemed necessary for living and survival should be decreasing or at the very minimum be a continuous plateau. However, it does not take a genius to recognize that is far from what is truly happening. Our elected officials who run the corruption machine could care less! Why? Well that's easy, they face no consequences regardless if our laws say they should. The fact is our government's system of checks and balances have failed us! Instead of these corrupt officials being held accountable by other sectors of government or even simply put, other elected officials who are aware of what's going on, the use of the "one hand washes another hand" approach is the standard go to for almost all government representatives. Thus, the corruption is perpetuated. Our chosen reps, protected. Leaving those corrupt officials exactly where they are. Meanwhile, any attempt at change for the average citizen is rejected. I w

How can us seniors afford these bills . We don't get a break in winter it's gas ,comes Summer it's electricity. I started making payments ,was told if I didn't pay in full I was going to be shut off .

Ridiculous prices

Eversource is abusing Massachusetts citizens with it rates and migration of their business costs to customers. Their lobbyist must be stopped and legislature held accountable for its role in our jaw dropping rates. Municipal utilities must be funded & communities protected from price gouging in the future.
