The city council officially approved the 3-way Riverfront liquor license for Rembrandt's Gallery & Wine Bar. This outcome ensures the business can compete effectively in the current market. I am now coordinating with the management team to confirm that all municipal paperwork is processed for the transition period.

We, the undersigned, request that Rembrandt’s Gallery & Wine Bar be granted a 3-way Riverfront liquor license. Rembrandt’s is an important addition to the Madison community, providing a unique upscale experience for Madison residents as well as being a highly recommended destination for visitors. It provides jobs and tax revenue to the Madison community and attracts new people to the area.
Rembrandt’s is currently the only retail restaurant serving alcohol in Jefferson County that can only serve wine. To meet the ever-increasing competition, we believe that its very survival is dependent on procuring the Riverfront license. This will allow the business to continue to be a significant benefit to the City of Madison, its residents, and out-of-town visitors.

We are approaching the one hundred signature threshold which is the benchmark required to open a formal dialogue with the city planning committee. I am drafting the proposal for the zoning hearing now and need to push past this number to ensure our petition carries the necessary weight.

The system for granting licenses does not allow for modern business models. As a tourist destination, Madison needs to give businesses every opportunity to succeed. Liquor sales are vital to the success of most restaurants.
Please grant Rembrandt’s a 3 way liquor license. I was in recently and wanted a beer. No beer. Help a guy out! Plus they have great food.
Please grant Rembrandt’s a riverfront 3 way liquor license. It’s a wonderful restaurant that my husband and I just discovered on the taste of Madison st Patrick’s tour and I don’t want them to go under!!!!!
After my husband (who is from Madison) and I were married; we had dinner and drinks here! This was right after it opened and it was amazing! We make sure to try to frequent this establishment whenever we visit his family! And we were looking forward to dining here again this summer when we visit!
Madison NEEDS places like Rembrandt’s! Fine food paired with craftsmanship (wood working) is quite complimentary of Madison’s charming traits.

This is our favorite destination during the long weekends we spend boating to Madison from Louisville each year.
