The transport authority confirmed the No 28 bus will return to its original route servicing the Cannock Road and Wood End corridors. We will monitor the service roll out to ensure the restoration matches these official commitments. Thank you for maintaining the pressure required to reach this reversal.
We the undersigned petition for the change of the No 28 bus in Wolverhampton (formerly the 528) to have it's route reverted back to its former route, to cover the Cannock Road, past Fallings Park pharmacy along Prestwood Road West and Wood End travelling to Willenhall and Bilston instead of only to Bilston. There have been so many people miss this route and relied on the service to go about their daily business. The elderly people within our community also relied on the service to get to and from their Doctors, Dentist, Hair Dressers, Pharmacy and get to their favoured businesses within the local area.
The volume of support has now reached a professional threshold that demands a response from the transport authorities. I am currently drafting a formal letter to the local planning office to request a hearing regarding the service adjustments on the Cannock Road corridor.
