One of a kind performer, very unique fellow, feel good artist. Veteran, collage graduate, real bayou cajon, spoke only French until 8 years old, well deserving of membership.

Doug is great. The first album I paid for, with my own money, was Doug Kershaw, "Flip Flop Fly". The first time I performed in Vegus was on stage with Doug Kershaw. Dreams do come true.

I have had the good fortune of living in the same community as Mr. Kershaw for the last 20 years or so. The good he has done for all of us here is second to none. His music has been share and I cherish each and every memory I have. Some of my favorites are the free to incredibly affordable nights are the Greeley Independance Stampede. We took our blankets and chairs and listened and watch him play. He is great with that fiddle. Yes Yes he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. The sooner the better. No one will ever be able to handle a fiddle like he does again. Oh and by the way, I have a fiddle signed by this great man!

He was the master of tension and release in a live entertainment forum. He was a master performer. My hero. I wish I could meet him. I did meet his brother PeeWee back in the early eighties down in Galveston to he invited me to his home and showed me some wonderful family pictures and we played twin fiddles on Liberty.
