Main Avenue has become a speedway, even with a speed limit of 35 mph, creating a hazard to local residents, pedestrians and bikers. We would like to find a remedy to this situation. We are asking the Borough the following:
1. Have the Bay Head Borough Police Department actively enforce the 35 mph speed limit.
2. Have the Borough place electronic signs that flash how fast a vehicle is traveling.
3. Petition the State of NJ to initiate speed-calming measures for Main Avenue in Bay Head.

It isn't just applying the speed limit but enforcing it, especially with the influx of tourist/beachgoers.
