The proposal of hundreds of new homes will lead to grid lock in Whittington Way, Friedberg Avenue, Viliers sur Marne Avenue, London Road and the bypass too. During School rush hour it's already difficult to come out of and back into Pynchbek. It will cause numerous problems for us residents in Thorley Park and by causing higher traffic volumes for othe Bishop's Stortford residents along London Road towards the town. Also it's already a huge traffic problem trying to get through Sawbridgeworth both in the morning and at times during the day.

It would remove a beautiful part of the town

Whittington Way is a joy to drive along, whether in spring, summer or winter. The road and surrounding fields are just beautiful if we take the time to look and enjoy. The banks are covered in daffodils and cowslips in spring and the sun streams through leafy trees in the summer. Sunsets are amazing whatever the season. Winter offers fields in mist and sparkling frosty hedges. Fact. Walks in the countryside on the doorstep. The history of Thorley also needs to be considered. We need to preserve places like this, not create yet another concrete jungle. The houses won't be big enough to actually live in anyway.
