We, the students of CMR NPS, would like the final exams, to be conducted in an online fashion, for better safety and convenience for the parent, students, and all other supporting staff.
During this time, offline exams are something that risks our health and the health of the people around us. We are writing this to urge the school to conduct the final exams for grade nine of CMR NPS through online means, as it is the safest choice. There has been a rise in the number of cases and a lot of students have tested positive for the virus after going to school. Students might be asymptomatic carriers of the virus and this might affect their family members, which could be extremely dangerous and harmful to young children and senior citizens. We believe that the smarter choice is to conduct online exams as it is the safest choice since we are extremely worried about coming to school to write our exams. We hope the school accepts our request to conduct the final exams online, to ensure the safety of the students and teachers, and their families.

I have been hearing from so many of you who are rightfully terrified about bringing this illness home to your families. I am spending my time gathering these concerns to present to the administration because your stories are the only thing that might change their minds.

Seeing this grow so quickly confirms that I am not the only one terrified of bringing this virus home to my grandparents. This momentum proves that our health should be the school's absolute priority.

Considering the Safety of our children I as a parent think the exams should be online as the whole academic year and the teaching was online keeping in mind most of the people like with senior citizens in their houses and I hope the school takes this in consideration and conducts the exams online
Covid cases are still on the rise and spreading. Students from all over bangalore will have to come to school and the risk factor when you put multiple students from diffrent locations in close contact is astronomically high. Online exams would be a better answer to the problems we are currently facing
I highly agree with this petition as I live in a highly populated apartment and we have many members in our house including senior citizens and I WILL NOT WISH TO PUT THEIR LIVES AT RISK
I fully agree with this. If we were given a choice to attend lab classes, why is that we HAVE to come for final exams? The cases seem to be rising again and it's not worth the risk as we have other options too.
How is it possible to write a 3 hour long exam wearing face shields and gloves? Coming to school along with the rest of our entire grade with 100+ students is extremely risky. I have senior citizens at home too and offline exams are not at all suitable in this situation.
Currently, the covid-19 cases increasing in the blink of a second, and conducting offline exams would boost the spread of covid-19 even faster. Conducting exams during covid - 19 would require a face shield, mask, and a pair of gloves, this would make us suffocated and not allow us to write the exams comfortably. Recently the Covid's second wave has reached India and due to the relaxations, the cases are increasing as we all thought it would not. All the dangerous mutant has caught its place in India, like the Brazilian mutant- which is the most dangerous mutant in the world and it has mutated 12 to 13 times. All these would put our lives at risk. Our whole year was online with all the precautions, conducting offline would put all our efforts into waste So I would plead to the school to conduct our finals online.
The only thing that'll happen by holding an offline exam will be spreading of the virus amongst the school students and teachers, and once someone may be affected, they will carry it home and spread the virus only more. The school isn't taking COVID seriously, and after the recent COVID case amongst one of the 9th grade students after attending the lab sessions, they better start taking it seriously at least from now. They caused one case already, offline exams will only increase that number. Every school and college campus takes the same maximum precautions and if so many of them can receive over 40 cases, so can this school.

I agree with this petition..if they can ask consent letters for lab activity, they cannot keep exams compulsorily offline. And they said that they would reduce 30% of the portions..but they are adding chapters from 10th grade to fill the hole..ethically, the fear of coved might have reduced, but globally and legally, all should take warning.
