Dps Bangalore North decided to have offline exams for 9th and 11th grade.
This decision was taking in around a week before the online final exams were scheduled. Parents concern was not taken into account for this final examination
They sent a message saying it is compulsory as there will be offline exams.
When students asked doubts about the exams the teachers claimed it was a government directive.
However the government directive clearly stated that it totally depends on the decision of the parents and students whereas this was not done so

DPS has a lot of strength in numbers where each grade has around 400-500 students and they call them to school to take exams.
The consent form sent by the school stated there are risks for the students coming to school that they might have contact with the virus and the school will not be reliable for anything related to that. At the same time, there is no alternative provided by the school to opt for online exams even though we have the rights to do so.
Further, the parents had mailed the school regarding their concern, many mails had been sent but most of them haven't recieved any answers.
Any questions asked to the teachers they just tell us to direct it to the office.
A petition was already made which close to 1500 people signed it. To that, the school said they will come up with something about it but in place they spread a message saying the exams will still happen offline like it was planned.
The school also mentioned that no transport will be provided and some have working parents and not everyone can manage transport to school 2 times a day 5 times and usage of public vehicles in the environment is really not safe.
A lot of students have their grandparents and younger siblings living with them and everyone comes to risk for which the school says will not be responsible for.
The school also mentioned that uniforms are compulsory to attend. Many students have joined the school new after 10th grade and they have not bought the the same it was only online classes going on. Coming to school again to buy uniform exposes parents and the students ti greater risk.
This idea if having offline exams was just taken by dps north, it's sister schools like dps east are conducting online exams and our school does not even give an option for the same as the teachers openly messaged concerned parents "to write finals the students need to come to school" and on further questions they ended with saying something will be done about it.
Calling 1000+ people to school in this unprecedented is very risky and the management has not made a good decision
The school may not take this into consideration like the last time but we will make sure this reaches everybody.

We hit one hundred signatures today. It is exhausting to keep fighting for basic transparency when the school keeps ignoring our emails but seeing this many people agree is keeping me going.

We just hit five hundred signatures and the weight of this is starting to sink in. It has been exhausting trying to get the school to listen but seeing this level of support makes me believe we might still get some answers.

The silence from the office is exhausting but we are still here pushing for a real response. I am spending my time documenting every refusal to listen so we have a clear record when the time comes to challenge this.

I feel, the school should postpone the exams since there is a lot of pressure on students to prepare for going to school in a matter of 4 days. If the school want to conduct offline exams, they should atleast give some time for students and parents to make arrangements.
Can you please revise the consent form at least as per government physical attendance is not compulsory and its totally on the parents who want to send their children and its not compulsory. Please respond to our emails, the management has been showing complete negligence
They’ve given wrong information to the media and saying that “80% want TO GO TO SCHOOL AND GIVE EXAM(offline exams)” which is WRONG. 80% WANT ONLINE EXAMS. And as Mansoor Ali Khan sir said “its the parents and students decision”, OFFLINE EXAMS CANNOT BE MANDATORY AND NEED TO BE OPTIONAL.
I don’t care bout what happens to me . My parents are diabetic patients. The virus is very dangerous to them compared to normal people . Dps should take better decisions instead of just ordering us .
The awfully short notice is atrocious and the carelessness and disregard for children and people at home is absolutely disappointing. DPS was a golden school and its name is in shambles. You can't force us to expose ourselves without "consent". That consent means nothing when the rule says it's compulsory
bruh whats with the roohi screenshot now smh

I am a teacher in Dps of 11th grade . I am against online exam too . I have contacted with corona virus twice already. We teachers can be potentially carriers. Dps should conduct online exams.
