The Castle Pines HOA#2 homeowner's board has recently selected the arbitrary number of 15 years as the age that young people can go to the pool without a parent or supervisor. Parents of well behaved HOA#2 young people would like to change the rules to allow persons 13 years old and older to go use the pool without supervision. It is the parent's belief that most of the kids 13 years old and older in our HOA#2 are responsible and act appropriately at the pool Currently the lifeguards are instructed to turn away young people under the age of 15. We would like them to instead turn away young persons 13 and over who are found to be misbehaving. The change in age would in effect, REWARD the kids who behave appropriately to stay, and PENALIZE those who choose to behave inappropriately. Let's reward positive behavior in our community. It is as simple as that!

To be clear, this petition is not asking for 13 year olds to be able to supervise younger children, just to be able to go to the pool without a parent or supervisor.
