Petition to Change Company Name from BlackBerry to QNX and Update Stock Ticker from $BB to $QNX
We, the undersigned shareholders, investors, and supporters of BlackBerry Limited, respectfully submit this petition to formally request a rebranding of the company name from BlackBerry to QNX, and a corresponding change of the stock ticker symbol from $BB to $QNX.
For years, the name “BlackBerry” has been synonymous with a legacy of once-groundbreaking smartphones, followed by a well-documented period of commercial decline. While the company has since transitioned into a focused and highly capable provider of secure software solutions—especially through the QNX platform, which is a global leader in embedded systems and automotive technologies—the public perception of the BlackBerry name continues to reflect its past challenges rather than its current strengths and future potential.
We believe that renaming the company to QNX represents a strategic opportunity to signal a bold new chapter. This change would:

The name Blackberry has to go, it carries a failed phone company reputation. QNX is a much more sexier name and far more relevant to its current revenue stream.

Finally someone said it. The market still thinks we make phones from 2008. Time to move on and rebrand already.
