This is a petition to offer artistic and cultural activities in a specific location of the industrial light zoning area of San Carlos, specifically, 151 A. Old County Road.
The existing text for “ Industrial Light” does not include music or dance instruction as an allowable business in this area, yet a school exists at this location due to the fact that the zone previously allowed it.
After extensive search around San Carlos for a suitable location,151 Old County Road proved to be ideal for th purpose of Peninsula Performing Art Academy. PPAA offers multicultural traditional dance, Art, Stage, and Music instructors. We offer a safe and secure place where children and adults can immersed in language, dance, and music. We have an international student artists exchange program where some San Carlos students will be able to travel aboard to experience these cultures firsthand.
We are asking for your help to convince the City Council that this location would best be used for education purposes. The people of San Carlos will prosper with this addition of both daily instruction as well as after school activity. Please add your name and email to help make this happened. These signature are needed to encourage the city officials to recognize the need of our facility. We will not use your information for anything else.

Seeing the count climb this high helps balance out the long hours of navigating these zoning hurdles. It is exhausting work to explain why this space belongs to the community but your backing keeps me moving forward.

The zoning policy should reflect and serve the needs of the community for quality living. Quality living includes safety and a community that promotes understanding to embrace the richness of diverse cultures. Arts shapes our minds, cultural programs promote understanding and appreciation of each other. It is about time for the zoning policy to catch up with the needs of the community.

My daughter loves her dance classes here. San Carlos really needs more places like this for the kids to go after school.

JUST LET THEM STAY. these programs are great for the neighborhood and it would be a shame to close it down over some zoning paperwork nonsense.

I support the school to open. It is a lot of planning and work that they put together. They have passion and would like to see their success.

This place is a gem. I hope the city sees how much value this brings to our area.
