The Alumni of the American University in Cairo petition the administration of the AUC library to allow us access to the online databases, which are offered to enrolled students, in exchange for a higher library fees to be paid by the Alumni interested in this service.

There are an increasing number of alumni requesting free access to the online resources offered by the AUC library. Currently, this service is only available for us, alumni, inside the library building, which is hardly feasible for most of us as some are carrying out important research either outside of Cairo or outside the country. We understand the quota that the library pays to offer access to these databases. Therefore, we are willing to pay a higher library fee than the 80 L.E. fee that alumni currently pay, in exchange for extending the offered library services to include the free access to the online databases.
