I agree with this petition. The safety standards within the SPRAT and IRATA are a big step up from current practices in the provinces.

It would be nice to stay in my home province instead of having to leave for work.

Regulations are required for remote aces anyone who thinks it's not required is completely irrisponsible.

IRATA has many years of experience in the rope access industry and wide knowledge base.
IRATA should be the only standard used worldwide.

I've tried talking to the ministry on multiple occasions about the safety and effeciency factors of rope access over other methods.
It's always seemed to land on def ears. I've since moved west due to the fact but perhaps you can make a difference. Good luck.

SPRAT & IRATA are means of safe access VIA rope access. Let get these certified rope techs back to work.

I'm from Ontario but moved to BC to work rope access, it would be nice to see my line of work back at home!

as someone who has done one of the highest projects in Canada. .. the bow tower at just under 800 feet using rope access.. as a level 2 sprat and someone doing building maintenance... who started in a bosun chair and realised that rope access is the superior way of doing things... I do not understand why anyone would be forced to use outdated methods when newer more safer training is offered.. no self rescue either... please consider adopting rope access...
