This project's density does not fit the communal fabric of this area.

Very concerned about the impact of even 10 new houses on traffic around and going to and off Forge Mountain.

As a resident of Oakwood Ln., I oppose this proposal because it requires numerous exceptions to existing zoning laws. It appears that the developer has not made any effort to create a plan that respects the regulations or aligns with the character of our neighborhood. In addition to concerns already mentioned by others, I am worried that squeezing 60 houses into this space will ultimately lower property values on VFM and drastically alter the nature of our community.
On a side note, considering that the township denied our request to install a nearly invisible deer fence that was taller than the allowed limit, then I am hopeful that they will apply their decisions about rule exceptions consistently for land developers!

This is a ridiculous is that the area could handle this traffic. Valley Forge Mountain is a beautiful
and unique area. The idea adding ugly characterless housing is so disappointing- there is no shame in this world. Save the area and make the right decision here.

Like most here I would prefer the property to stay the same. If it has to be sold, let it be to a private party not a developer. If it is to be developed I don't see why the access has to be Oakwood Ln. There is plenty of frontage on Valley Park Rd and on Rt. 23 (parcel/UPI#27-6-209 and 27-6R-1). The intersection can be realigned to accommodate the increased volume and a traffic light installed to aid with it. A grass chained off fire access road can be placed going out to Oakwood Ln. This would preserve that roads current status. I don't think open space is an option here since just last year the Twp paid 17 million for Sedgley Farms a 65 acre parcel and they are looking at redoing the Twp. building and grounds. Lastly, since this new development will increase the tax base for the Twp. I suggest a moratorium on any tax increases for residents for 10 years and the following 10 years after tax can only be raised highest 1% a year (so no balloon tax payments). Also, another possibility, bring back trash haul or a drop off site for the residents. Shift that burden off the residents. I'm sure the Twp. supervisors will do what is right for everyone.

I am are strongly opposed to the Oakwood subdivision. A contributing factor to our family moving to Chester County and the Township more than 20 years ago was the open space planning.
Wildlife is one of the many gifts we have living on the mountain, let’s think longer term and the impact this would have.

We live at Oakwood and Jug Hollow and are absolutely opposed to adding 60 houses to Oakwood Lane, a quiet neighborhood on the mountain. This will destroy the area and make Oakwood lane impossible to live on….. and we live on the intersection and already are overwhelmed by the Jug Hollow noise and cut through traffic. Please don’t do this .

As a former member of the Open Space Commission for township for more than eight years, I suggest that the commission make this property a target for review for consideration of funding an open space/conservation easement for the current owners of the property to discourage the destruction of open space on Valley Forge Mountain.

Any proposed development should abide by the existing R-1 zoning regulations.

We have trusted and paid our township to protect open space and to make decisions to preserve the nature of our community. The proposed building plan is not balanced with our environmental need for less impervious land where water run off is a serious problem. This issue has not been managed well enough leading to loss of property and threatens tree life. It also does not consider the dangerous terrain of our roads here on Valley Forge Mountain and how our township will accommodate for the increased traffic. Sixty homes is far out of balance for this intimate and established community. We ask the township supervisor to disapprove this building proposal.

This plan is inconsistent with the township plan and the nature of the neighborhood, would create significant traffic congestion and unnecessarily strain public services and resources.

I trust Schuylkill Township will not make any exceptions to the 2 acre minimum for single homes and would not allow mixed development should this plan move forward. My strong preference is for the Piazza property to stay as-is, followed by large lot single homes with a good amount of wooded common areas.

I oppose the Oakwood Lane subdivision development. We have enough single family homes in the township and this will only add more traffic to a congested area.

No way can I support such a development. 60 more homes is how many more cars on Oakwood?

The damage this development would do to our bucolic township would be devastating. As our elected officials, please do not allow this to happen. Thank you.
