The Town Of Hammond planning board recently approved the construction of a small family meat shop at 80 Dubois Road. This meat plant will be complying with multiple government agencies such as the Health Department, EPA, FSIS, APHIS, DEC, NYS Agriculture Markets and many others. These agencies will ensure that this meat plant is up to code in every possible way from odors to a properly functioning septic system. This meat plant and septic system was designed by a Clarkson graduate licensed engineer. Clarkson is one of the most prestigious schools in the country. The DEC has confirmed that the construction site is not in a wetland and that the septic system designed for this plant is adequate. There will be no environmental damage as a result of this meat plant. This meat plant would be very beneficial to the local agricultural industry.

The opposition keeps peddling nonsense about environmental damage despite the clear evidence provided by licensed engineers and state agencies. We are tired of the constant roadblocks from people who refuse to acknowledge the benefits this plant brings to our local farmers. This business is going to move forward whether these critics like it or not.

May 26, 2018

The momentum behind this project is undeniable and it proves that Hammond residents refuse to let fearmongers dictate the future of our local economy. The opposition tried to bury this business under a pile of misinformation but you are proving them wrong. We are going to keep pushing until this plant is fully operational.

Keep our money in town instead of driving all the way out to get meat. Makes total sense.
