This is a petition to make NYSEG take a more serious look at expanding the availability of natural gas. To maybe expand the service to a six mile radius from the hamlet of Peru, this would not only be beneficial to many current home owners, farms and businesses, natural gas would also make it more appealing to future residence and potential businesses that move to the area. natural Gas is more efficient, can be used for more then just heating, and is a better alternative to burning wood or fuel oil as a primary source of heat. I ask that any resident who agrees that community would benefit from the expansion please sign this petition to get NYSEG to recognize the need.
I am fortunate to have natural gas, and feel very sorry for those folks who are now paying over $4.00 for fuel oil. Natural gas is produced here, and is needed here. We just need NYSEG to help us out.

I live at 3011 Main Street Peru. I tried unsuccessfully three years ago to have the gas line run past my house. At this time it is within 500 foot of my home. The gas line is at the Catholic Church to my East and on the West it is at the corner near the flashing signal lite. I would certainly convert to gas if it was available to me. I’m sure that are many other homes close by that would also convert over to gas if it was available. Warmer weather is coming,( I hope) and that is the time for people to convert. Please help me!!!

I would LOVE to convert to Natural Gas if it becomes available. Oil is dirty and expensive, lets clean up the environment a little bit.

I'm very fortunate the line ends in my front yard. I have natural gas and hope the line will be extended to all my neighbors.
