As we know TV plays a crucial role in our society, whether it be for entertainment, community announcements, safety warnings, news or education. The government agency responsible for ensuring quality tv reception for all Australians have recommended we petition the LVRC to install a repeater tower central to the Valley so that all residents may enjoy either Brisbane or Toowoomba TV coverage. Due to the topography surrounding the valley, only a local TV transmitter will provide consistent quality reception for the majority of residents. The ACMA site contains a map that will show the reception status for your location for either Brisbane or Toowoomba tv.
Personally I care as I am one of you who have an elderly parent in their home and TV is the lifeline to the outside world for news, education and entertainment. I feel that our average direct distance of 50kms from either Brisbane or Toowoomba is being used as a cop out not to provide a relatively simple solution to a vital service.
Please sign this petition as a show of support and also as an indicator to LVRC of the extent of this tv reception issue. Thank you.

Fix this please. We pay our rates and expect basic services like working television.
I am sick of having to rely on pay tv to get decent reception. This is 2018 not 1918.. there is no excuse for such poor tv reception
Please give us decent TV reception without having to pay for a booster every couple of years or pay for Foxtel
Living in Helidon and cant get a clear signal to save my life. Sick of the constant pixelating every time the wind blows a bit harder than usual.
We are not in the middle of no where. We are 80km from a Capital city. I have lived in very remote areas had better tv, phone, and internet services get with it Lockyer Valley can't build it up and provide outdated services not to mention roads....
