PETITION IN FAVOR OF A NEW LIQUOR LICENSE FOR A RESTAURANT AT 18 GREENWICH AVENUE

Katerina Karagianni (greecologies tasting culture) has submitted an application to the State Liquor Authority for a New License to sell Beer and Wine on premises at 379 Broome St. The business plan for the premises includes the following: 1. A fully licensed Greek Yogurt Cafe open from 8AM to 11PM daily. 2. A 25 seat outdoor Back Yard Garden 3. A main indoor seating area with a 25 seat 4. Serving affordable, locally sourced, high quality food and drink.
As neighborhood residents, we strongly support Ms.Karagianni's application. Ms.Karagianni has already demonstrated a tremendous commitment to the community and her concept for 379 Brooome st. is an exciting development for the community, offering additional scenic beauty, educational experience for it's patrons, and an affordable quality food in a family friendly environment.

It is specifically because we share our fellow neighbors' concerns for the quality of life in our community that we support this application - we welcome such an asset in such a beloved location. The application will go in front of the Full Board of Manhattan's Community Board 2 on Tuesday, May 12th, 2015 at 6:30 PM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 151-155 Sullivan St. We urge the Full Board to APPROVE this application.

May 11, 2015

The feedback I have received from residents confirms that our neighborhood desires a community space that emphasizes quality and local engagement. This application remains a top priority and I am currently preparing the necessary documentation for the upcoming Community Board meeting.

The level of support for this cafe proposal has surpassed my initial expectations. It is clear that the community values the addition of this thoughtful space to our neighborhood.

Live on Broome St and think this would be a great addition to the block. Love the yogurt place already.
