The Las Vegas City Council continues to ignore the fact that their neglect is driving local kids toward vandalism. We are busy scouting locations for a real hub for skaters and riders since they refuse to provide a space that is open when we actually need it. Do not let them pretend we are invisible while they keep the Abe Montoya park locked away from us.

The Las Vegas City Council can no longer ignore the momentum behind this demand for a real space for our youth. You are proving that we refuse to be pushed aside and treated like vandals while they ignore our basic needs.

Hope this works out! Think a good idea for kids, Teens & community of Las Vegas. There is not much to do in Las Vegas & if your not a baseball player, basketball or football player there is really nothing. I say give these kids/teens the same you would give the other sports.
Free the city and its skaters. No one should be punished for being outside and enjoying the city
The Youth of Las Vegas and every town in New Mexico deserve a safe and fun place to have to skate and bmx. As a 14 year skateboarder, it's imperative that action sports youth have a safe and quality park to use and enjoy now and years from now. A quality park will also bring in tourism to the city of Las Vegas in the form of skate trips from other cities and professional demos. Please, do right by the Youth of Las Vegas by getting a new quality park built.
Yes we need a skate park! The rec sucks because it's too small and the skaters get kicked out and harassed everywhere!
All you have to do is designate an area for a BMX park, dump a bunch of mounds of good dirt there, and let the riders build their park. Not only would it be cost effective, but building jumps for a BMX park would keep kids doing something constructive. Fresh mounds of dirt, JUST DIRT, are a BMXers dream come true. I hope to see something like this become a reality. There's one just like this near downtown Austin, and it's heavily used. The attitude is very positive there.
We need something for the youth. They need to use their energy in a positive way. Hope it goes well.

Our community needs to provide our youth a safe place to enjoy skateboarding & BMX activity. If they aren't allowed these activities in town, then provide them an area to call theirs.
