The EGM has made it clear that RCP leadership is withholding information, has conflict of interests and puts financial interests before patient safety.

The bullish manner in which you are actively promoting the expansion a workforce in the face of huge opposition from doctors is genuinely astonishing.
You have assured that the role is not here to replace us. This is entirely divorced from the current reality where there are innumerable examples where PAs are working in a capacity traditionally held by senior doctors (registrars, and evens GPs) and where patients (and even healthcare professionals) often cannot meaningfully distinguish between doctors and PAs.
This assurance is meaningless in the absence of any concrete definition of scope, which only the BMA has made a real effort to define.
You must be held accountable for how the role has been deployed and expanded over the past 10 years. Shockingly, this has been in the absence of any form of regulatory approval over this period.
What do you have to lose by engaging in a meaningful and purposeful dialogue with your members? Particularly those of your younger members/IMTs, who are facing huge issues with access to adequate training opportunities and securing NTNs across all specialties.
It is irresponsible to introduce thousands more PAs when there is already a massive medical workforce crisis AND morale is at an all-time low.
If NHS England is funding these roles, there is undeniably a direct opportunity cost for training positions for doctors.
I have full intention of unsubscribing from the RCP after gaining membership 2 years ago if these issues remain unresolved, and I am sure my colleagues feel the same.
