1) Financial conflict of interest 2) Patient safety has already been affected 3) Training of current physicians has also been affected 4) Lack / delayed set of action The body should be representing the physician's voice and concerns including current strikes - right now a two year course pays better than five+ years (not including the further training requirements, portfolio, exam fees)

The Royal College leadership has lost the trust of junior doctors regarding the physician associate issue. Training opportunities are being diverted to physician associates, and instead of providing support, doctors are being replaced by less expensive and hastily trained individuals as a last-ditch effort to bolster the NHS before the elections. The Royal College should have prioritized advocating for junior doctors' training, but regrettably, the opposite has occurred.

The training for physicians associate should be robust and there must be accountability. PAs should only act as assistants to doctors and not as a replacements or substitute. The role of physician associates must be clearly stated so it does not undermine doctors. If there is no clear guidelines, we risk the very profession we love and worse of all we risk patient safety.

PAs should only be doing ward jobs at the level of a F1 and nothing more.

Sad state of affairs but very poor leadership and callousness from RCP

I have unsubscribed from RCPL. The PA project needs to be scrapped. Our patients have already come to harm and I do not want that one day to be me or my family.

RCP has completely misrepresented the interests of doctors and patients alike. The PA plans are purely short term financial gains for planners which only destroy any remaining trust in the NHS and blow up in everyones faces, not mentioning the immense harm it will do to our patients. Completely unethical!

I am currently an IMT2 and I can confidently say that as trainees we were not supported as PA s . The PA s were always prioritized over the trainees. Royal collage of Physicians was supposed to be the GOLD STANDARD which any doctor in the world would dream of achieving for their carrier. With recent experiences with hijacking PAs over the collage's own trainees, I have really lost my confidence over the royal collage . Thinking of different collages of physiancs across the USA and other parts of the world, as I feel in the future royal collage of physicians would not be the GOLD STANDARD for the world anymore .
