Giving PA a doctor role is just like treating a patient with a quack

The UK has a proud tradition of fantastic medical training. We will now be a laughing stock to the rest of the world!

As a patient, I am terrified at the thought of an unqualified person diagnosing or treating me. Lives are at risk, and I don't want mine to be one of them.

The RCP is just the first institution to be noticed doing this. It won’t be the last

Concerned member of the public here. The RCP should be prioritising our doctors, training them properly and looking after their interests so that in turn they can take care of us, the public - not clandestinely undermining them and seeking to replace them with an unregulated, unscoped PA workforce which has no medical degree and is therefore not competent to practise medicine. The RCP has been dishonest, ignoring the concept of patient safety and failed us all. Appalling. New leadership please and a halt to this PA madness.

Give back doctors their rightful positions.

We are kindly requesting the board to train doctors properly and maintain sanctity of the profession rather than finding shortcuts and giving responsibility to people with very little knowledge of medicine.

Recent behaviour by RCP leadership has shown a blatant disregard for the good of its members, and the wellbeing of the public.
