The roll out of PAs should be paused, it is a significant patient safety issue that the leadership has completely failed to handle and it is completely deaf to the concerns of RCP members, fellows, doctors and patients. Its handling of the EGM was just as shambolic and there are significant problems with the Senior Team and COIs. An overhaul is needed for both the RCP and rotational training for doctors, who must be prioritised for training opportunities instead of PAs in theatre, running clinics & performing procedures on patients. Enough is enough.

The role out of PAs must be stopped for patient safety reasons. The EGM was not conducted fairly and raw data of the survey must be released.
