Exciting Update!
We want to get Salem's Market and Grill to help us establish a Halal presence within the University of Pittsburgh's dining services. To achieve this, we plan on requesting the University for a permanent Halal food station for students to enjoy different Halal meal options 7 days a week.
But we need your help, to get this started, we need students to really push for this change. We plan on collecting petitions as a way to convince the school that students want this change. We also hope to get as many calls/emails into the chancellor's office requesting this change.

My friend and I were chatting about how the halal food station is a joke. I can only think of one time they had halal food there, and it was the same food at the station next to it. The food there was fish and vegetables, which is already halal, so they also just put that same food in the halal station too. The only difference was that the food at the halal station had gotten cold. They don't really care to put non-pescatarian halal dishes there.
An Urban campus like Pitt, must takes steps towards providing dinning options to those who eat Halal meat beyond steps taken within the Dining Halls. Salem's Market and Grill is local and will help promote further dialogues about inclusivity on campus.
As a Pitt Alumn I wish I had a great halal option like Salem's when I was at the University. It would be an amazing option for those like myself who can only eat halal meat, but also a great option for everyone else!
Salem’s is not just a great Halal option for Pitt students, it’s one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh. Salem’s has consistently been there for the Pitt community and is an absolute necessity for Pitt’s campus. Please bring the Halal option back to Pitt!

According to the New York Post’s story, Hunter Biden in 2015 introduced his Father, then VP in the Obama Administration, to a Top Exec Vadym Pozharskyi at Ukrainian Burisma Holdings Ltd after Hunter joined the company’s board which was Paying him up to $83,000 a Month. The insinuation is that Hunter Successfully Influenced his Father to Pressure Ukraine Government officials “into Firing the Prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was Investigating Corruption against Burisma. Facebook and Twitter took action to limit distribution (censored) the New York Post story citing Emails purportedly Revealing Evidence of Influence-Peddling by Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden. The Emails were obtained from a Laptop which had a sticker from the Beau Biden Foundation, and had been Abandoned at Computer-Repair Shop, named “The Mac Shop” in Wilmington, Delaware and owned by John Paul Mac Isaac, who then reported the laptop’s contents to authorities which determined that the laptop and hard drive contain fruits of criminal activity. Joe Biden and his family engaged in "Legal Corruption" despite claims of no wrongdoing and the Liberal Main Stream Media Refuses to Talk and will never Report about Hunter Biden’s laptop and emails, fearing Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden will Lose the 2020 Election if this information is exposed to the American People. This is evidence that Joe Biden participated in his Family’s CASH-for-Influence Scheme with Shady Foreign Companies. The American People should be demanding that the Media investigate this scandal before they VOTE, but we know, the Media will never report on Hunter Biden’s emails because it would be harmful to Joe Biden.

No one at Pitt has taken the issue of Halal food seriously. Every time someone complains, they listen but have never taken an action, which is why only a mass-led student driven action can bring a change. Salem's would solve the issue of Halal food availability for many.
