BUET Administration:
We the BUETIANs, BUET family members and ex-patriate Bangladeshis strongly condemn the killing of BUET student Abrar Fahad. We demand immediate justice for this heinous crime and bring those to justice who are associated with this killing.
BUET is a prestigious and highly regarded university in Bangladesh where very few meritorious students get accepted after highly competitive entrance exam. These talented and meritorious students are the back bone of our society and future of the country. This institution used to be secured and free from violence. BUET administration used to be very active in keeping the security and peaceful environment in BUET campus. However, recently we have noticed rise of violence in BUET campus by intruders as well as students. We urge BUET administration to take immediate actions to stop campus and residential halls violence and help bring the peaceful environment back. Doing so, take immediate action on this brutal murder of BUET student Abrar Fahad and take necessary steps to identify the killers and help law enforcement capture them immediately and bring killers to justice. We urge BUET administration to take necessary steps to secure the campus and residential halls to prevent this kind of heinous crime happening in future.
We want BUET campus to be safe for all.

I just checked the page and saw we hit five hundred signatures which is honestly just overwhelming to see especially since this whole thing started as just a frantic idea after the news broke. It feels like this is finally gaining some real traction and I hope the administration is actually watching because they really need to understand how many people are paying attention to what happened inside those halls.

The numbers keep creeping up but I keep thinking about how the administration must be seeing this crawl toward five hundred and wondering if we will just fade away. We have to keep this pressure high because if we lose momentum now the silence will just get louder and honestly I can barely focus on anything else today until we hit that next big milestone.

I see the numbers creeping up and it honestly makes my head spin how many of you care about what happened to Abrar because this has to reach the right people who actually hold the keys to the campus gates. If you could just ping someone new right now I think we might finally hit that hundred mark that makes the administration sit up and pay attention to our collective grief.

Abrar's killing is one of the many consequences of how tolerant we have become toward oppression. Justice will only be done when along with the killers, the administration that continuously nurtures them will be held accountable.
I demand justice for the brother we lost. Bangladesh is a democratic country. It’s a shame that the best institution in the country allows such criminals to be on campus who assume they have the power to bit any student to death based on a mere Facebook post regarding his political views.
Bringing the perpetrators of the murder to justice followed by exemplary punishment is the minimum requirement of conscience. What is the reason for the pathetic and unconscionable nonchalance of BUET administration in the face of this tragedy?
Want justice. We won't get Abrar back but we want to make sure that there is no such repeat. We don't want our kids to be killed or to become a killer. As a society we all have responsibilities to raise our next generation to a better human being.
I am signing this petition as ex BUET student as an attempt to send message to authority and demand justice for Abrar. As ex BUETIANs I feel we need to do something immediately to restore our beloved institution’s glory before it is too late.
We want justice. The sense of lawlessness prevailing in the society must be removed forever.
We want justice for innocent boy Abrar killing in Buet residential Hall.

I hope all involved will get capital punishment through special tribunal. As an ex buetian (‘91 electrical), I demand the justice in the fastest time possible to set a new example. This brutality is beyond anyone’s imagination, specially in buet dorms!
