Due to a number of recent incidents in the area, as parents, we’re asking for increased security measures around VES. This includes security cameras and a visible security guard standing outside (and on the corner of Lacknergasse and Staudgasse) at all drop off (eg. From 8.10am -8.30am mornings) and pick up times.

Too many strange people hanging around lacknergasse lately. please put up cameras and get real security before someone gets hurt.
its honestly scary sending my kid to school these days. we need guards at the gates right now. why wait until something bad happens?

Due to rising cases of strangers sneaking around VES school (staring at kids, taking pictures/videos, etc), please note my serious concern about strengthening security measures at VES school! Wir bitten sie inständig, entsprechende security massnahnmen zu beauftragen, wie es an vielen anderen Privatschulen längst der Fall ist. Urgent: Safety Concern — Robbery Incident Involving Students Good morning, I would like to bring to your attention a very serious incident that happened recently and to highlight an ongoing concern. As I have already informed you, my child along with his friends , were threatened with a knife at Gersthofer Platz. The attackers took money and a jacket before fleeing the scene. Naturally, the children are now very frightened and hesitant to go home alone. In addition, it is important to inform other parents that there seems to be a pattern of kids being repeatedly asked for money, which is creating an unsafe environment in Gertshof/ Währing. I urge the school to take this matter seriously and communicate with parents and relevant authorities to ensure the safety of all students — both at school and on their way to and from school. Considering the increased number of security incidents in the neighborhood in particular and with the recent shooting in Graz in mind, it is critical to ensure the safety of the children in the school by restricting the access to the school only to the students, teachers and parents and those additionally authorized and who can verify their identity.
