I wholeheartedly support the lecturers in this dispute. An agreement must be reached. A fair pay settlement is necessary

I whole heartedly support lecturers to receive what they deserved. I wish to make it know that I want University lecturers to receive what they are entitled to. I however cannot support a marking boycott

Lecturers go above and beyond to receive below inflation rises, whilst those at the top reward themselves ridiculous pay rises.

The VC wants to get his priorties right. Giving himself a 12% pay increase is unacceptable! A disgrace to his profession to not allow a 1% increase for lecturerers pay yet boost his own salary up £24,000!!! Disgusting.

It's only fair that lecturers want fair pay, but don't risk our degrees for them, at the end of the day we pay for them and deserve better than to be put second.

What about the students looking to apply for masters degrees? Delaying graduation could seriously affect the chances of being able to apply to and get accepted onto further study, as well as for individuals looking to move straight into a job. I think it is wholly unfair disrupting the lives and future prospects of students when the issue has nothing to do with us.

Paying a fortune for a degree and now your not going to mark our work and delay graduation. Great another way to mess up chances of getting jobs when its hard enough already

Don't jeopardise others futures when we have worked so hard at our degrees! Your work may be disrupted for a few weeks but this could have a knock-on effect for our whole lives.

Absolutely ridiculous that students are getting penalised for the strike.. Its not like we don't pay fees. We pay these fee's to get a proper education, not for lecturers to skip lectures and refuse to mark the work.

I feel very frustrated with how many strikes there have been. For my Health and Safety module it has severely affected the teaching. I am paying £8750 annually and I do not believe that I have had my moneys worth. I fully understand the cuts and they are very important to demonstrate the inequality of the universitys distribution of pay, however the cuts have had to much of an impact on my learning. In conclusion I am very unsatisfied and I fully believe it has had an impact on the quality of teaching and it shall have a direct correlation to my grade.

I believe that all lecturers and staff should get a pay rise but in no way should it disrupt our education, which it is. We pay a lot of money for tuition and we do not seem to be getting good quality education, mainly due to our lectures being cancelled because of the strikes. The new proposal for a marking boycott is a ridiculous idea, this strike it between staff and management it should not affect students in any way. Maybe we should not pay our tuition fees as the university is evidently not doing there job properly.

I feel that as I am paying in excess of £4000 per year in tuition fees, I think it is only fair that our lecture and seminar studies are unaffected. This could make a difference as to what grade we get for our final degree mark. I also feel that the tutors that actually teach us, all go that extra mile for us to gain as much as possible out of our education. Therefore, they deserve to have a pay rise as they are the ones who are actually teaching us. I fully support their decision to fight for what is right.

As a postgrad I see on a daily basis what negative impact the no or low paa policies at the unis have on student experience. I fully support the lecturers in this dispute!
