Considering how we have been affected by strike action so far this year, preventing so many of us from progressing to Masters, PhD's and further degrees would genuinely ruin so many futures not o mention the reputation of the Universities.

This has gone on long enough! If you truly care about the students - aka your customers - then act now.

Whilst recognising the situation, as a final year student enough disruption through the strikes has already taken place this year. A marking ban cannot go ahead, potentially treating our future careers if we can't show employers we have successfully graduated.

Ridiculous! Think of the impact it could have on thousands of hard-working, innocent students. It could potentially damage our future employment prospects!!

From what i'm aware the university management believes that the strikes are not affecting student working due to the library, union, offices etc. The marking boycott is in the hopes that the uni management will listen as of the affect on student work. But i agree with you that we shouldn't be paying the price

If the problem is between the management and the lecturers why is it the students paying the penalty? Both parties need to re-assess where they stand and what they are doing.

I require my final grades for civil service fast track. I have given this university 10,000 pounds for what frankly was not worth half of that.

A boycott marking could affect my chances at getting onto my PGCE course which is unfair.

I fully support UCU's reasons for striking, it's disgraceful that the Vice Chancellor receives such a large pay rise whilst lecturers recieve a pay cut. Fair pay for all!

I fully support the strikes and think it's outrageous that staff are receiving minimal pay increases whilst the VC etc give themselves much higher pay packages. Whilst i do not want my marks (final year) to be potentially delayed, if this is the only way to force the university to listen, then so be it!

Our lecturers go above and beyond for us, working well over their paid hours to provide us with the best opportunities and educational experiences and this should be recognised through fair pay not only to them but to all members working at the university. To be frank I have never met any of the management team, and I don't really want to at this point as knowing they are paid 6 figure salaries and aren't even the ones teaching or supporting us is quite frankly outrageous. Our lecturers deserve more from the university regarding pair and fair pay I fully support their decisions to strike yet find it hard that it has to be at the cost of our graduation.

whilst I support the lecturers I have worked hard for this degree and do not think it should be hindered by those (management and staff) that are supposed to help me. there is a one university policy and this should be for all not just those higher up.

I wholeheartedly support this petition and what it stands for. The actions of University management are utterly reprehensible, given the damage that could be caused and is being caused. It is not unfair to think that the remuneration of academics deserves to go up in line with the increases seen by those in upper management. It is about time that negotiations took place and a line is drawn under this issue. I, along with so many others urge the University management to reward the service providers within your institution in a manner that is fair and proportionate. Do not let it get to a marking ban that will be unreservedly damaging to the reputation of the University and more importantly pose a real problem to students that need to graduate or progress to the next level
