1) Considering the toughness of MA101 course we are not given enough time about its discussion and question practice (Tutorial is not that efficient) to adapt to its approach and proofs.
2)The ED marking is very subjective and it's hard to find what exactly to improve . If possible switch it to building solids on online softwares

Colleges and universities should understand the pressure of a student.....life is never about marks and education.....we have one life and too much pressure....rather than putting pressure if they helped the students mentally...maybe a life wouldn't have gone

One of the most prestigious institutions all over the world, with one hell of a life within. Why are the students expected to be perfect? Aren't the ones that couldn't perform their tasks perfectly the ones to be helped? If helping them(as any decent human should) is something they can't do, then they could at least support those students and LET them have a CHANCE to perform their tasks for the BARE MIMIMUM!!! Is that too much to ask?! The system is so messed up..

Remove the 75% criterion or atleast ease it a bit we can study ourselves better than teachers. Also review exams pattern. Don't forget the goal of iits it was not for placements or packages,,, it was for innovation and contribution

I am IIT alumni. I understand the mis-management by administration. In other universities and colleges they have backlogs exams, summer term to help students clear the course s, but in IIT Guwahati they dont give any such facilities. Also students face medical issues but professors dont acknowledge this issues even when student is seriously ill, Dropping their attendance and then not disqualifing them from exams, ultimately failing them. It is a scam done by IIT professors and administration to get money in the form of backlog exams (300rs per credit of backlog subject) by collecting fees from student. It is resulting in death of students. This is not suicide but murder and its being done by iit administration. I demand justice and necessary changes in college curriculum/administration to address this issue.

What has been done by the professor to the student was really unforgivable. Just because he didn't attend the class ( that too by medical emergencies and he submitted all his medical reports also) he was failed in the course(even after proper reasons and medical reports from the iitg hospital itself). And after his death the administration were saying students "paani peekar so jao" and also seen laughing like what is this ? Are they really taking this as a norm now or the academics didn't even care about the fellow students (some of them like me who know him personally) who were shocked by this news. And how much students have to take their life due to the inhumane attendance and academic stress being put on by the students while the academic is trying to just cover up the matter as they tried to do in soumya's case...
Kindly take this issue seriously.
