This policy does not do what it is intended and in fact can be evidenced to put staff and patients at risk, in addition breaches the protected characteristics under the equality act 2010

I don’t think this is a good idea.

This seems a stupid idea and surely isn’t good for the staff or the public

This also affects students on placement, not receiving the money that full time employed paramedics are received leaves us paying out of pocket for our food. This is an extra expense and cost that could be avoided by us being able to bring in food

I am the person who started the petition, so have to remain anonymous. My thanks to everyone who helped set it up and to all who have added signatures and comments. The email from the unions shows that the petition has been received. It would be valuable if everyone could contact their unions to share their views on the process—for example, whether they felt represented, whether the unions acted on a vote by those affected by the changes or by those who benefited from them—and to express what they would like to see happen next. Love.

It’s an unpaid meal break they can not tell us where we have it, I can go home if I want to

Im a student and this will affect my ability to be able to afford to eat at all as i cant afford to buy things everyday

As a student who can’t afford to buy fast food and have to bring food from home, this affects us as well.

The use of the word trial is wrong as there’s no ability to opt in or opt out.

Aside from this being detrimental to already low morale, this policy will also dictate eating habits. Many people prepare food for the fridge. Not being able to keep food cold will mean changing what we can eat and will affect those with dietary restrictions especially.

Already exhausted... certainly dont need unhealthy food... the miles covered in a shift is taking a toll on me, colleagues and family!

I have already voiced my concerns to the feedback email. This will seriously affect staff welfare and morale.
