I am against this corner becoming commercial due to the danger to all involved in golfing, hiking, biking and just playing.

Commercial use does not belong on the same property as residential. Infringing residents of EVERY age, with more noise, traffic and less safety. A better location for commercial use, could be the vacant lot left from movie theater on highway 71; instead of semi-trucks parking their rigs in that empty lot. Taking away a natural element from a neighborhood to use commercially, may only add to more semi-trucks on an empty lot.

Safety First!! To put a Dollar General store in our neighborhood would be determetal to our way of life. With Metfield Park next to the proposed area this would endanger the many children who frequent the park. Parents will no longer feel they can allow their children to play at the park without parental supervision. It will also endanger their ability to walk or ride bikes to the park due to the massive increase of traffic generated by a Dollar store. As an elderly person, I will not feel safe, taking my evening strolls. The value of our property will be significantly reduced causing a great loss of property value. In my opinion, this is straight up thievery to the property owners. It will increase city expenses of police, fire, and sewer which will fall back on the property owners. The Dollar store will also encroach on the beauty and peacefulness of our neighborhood. This is not a good move.

That intersection already sees a lot of traffic and more is not needed. There is a lot of bike and walking traffic as well as a golf cart crossing. It's a neighborhood setting not a commercial zo e.

It is a habitat for many animals. I am sure Sam Walton's did not spend their money for the concrete bike and walking path that they paid for to be destroyed.

I object to building a Dollar General. I live very close to the area, and would never shop there.

I guess Cooper is going to try until we the people forget or become unare of this intrusion on our residential properties. How about looking at the many new homes under construction that should have retaining walls for water erosion. lets get real about our town.

I stand behind my neighbors on this. I do not want commercial zoning by my neighborhood or my neighbors. There are plenty of stores just down the road.

I would be in favor of moving the business offices in Metfield to Thai space and giving us a restaurant again like at the Highlands!!

I oppose this rezoning of land for commercial purposes. There are multiple existing commercial areas that could be used.
