The Georgia House Bill passed a campus safety act that restores some Second Rights to people who have a GA Weapons Carry License (WCL). In 2014, a gun law reform bill passed that seemed to allow carry on campus with a WCL. This petition stand in complete opposition of this bill.

Keep guns off our campus. Classes are stressful enough without worrying about someone pulled a trigger during a heated debate. This is a terrible idea.

College can be a stressful atmosphere for many students. Strong emotion and weapons do NOT mix. Furthermore, people like myself, who live in an apartment off-campus, and those who live in frats/sororities, are not permitted to have guns on their person (or in their car), so how am I supposed to defend myself against an armed student? Please consider the implications and consequences of this bill. Thank you for your time.
