With all the money that the city makes from the outlets, they should put it to better use providing inexpensive transportation for the elderly and disabled. Some of the things they spend money on are not worth it, but this is. This city has to do better.

I did send a letter out to our City Council this past week, asking for a more reasonable adjustment. No response. May I suggest that you make sure everyone who signs this petition, that they use their full name as it appears on their CADL or voting registration. They will review and it does have match. They will kick it off.

Let’s reduce rates, not increase them. This Significant raise and the cost of transit will definitely impact me, a Vietnam war veteran, 70+ years old, and disabled.

So this is how you thank our Veterans? Will you be picking up and dropping off our handicapped citizens? How about those on a fixed income that require such a service? Exactly what went through your collective minds in making this decision? Is the city of Camarillo going to fold up if it doesn't get it's 220% increase? Come on Camarillo City Council, we can do ALOT BETTER than this! Our wonderful citizens are counting on you. Keep this service affordable.

This is outrageous and totally unfair..these increases should have been done slowly over the last 20 years..maybe at .25 cents per year increase. Many Seniors are on fixed income, cannot afford such a huge Increase and these Rates Need to be lowered immediately. Thank you. Mike C.

This service should be free, or on an ability to pay, to seniors and people with special needs

I understand raising prices during rough times (especially a pandemic), but to raise transit prices by 220% is unfathomable and shameful. The least that Camarillo could do is provide aid for low-income individuals and families, disabled folks, veterans and seniors. Everybody is suffering right now and the price increase will only bring more suffering to your residents who you are suppose to take care of. City of Camarillo, please hear out your residents who depend on this transportation.

THis service is needed by so many people who are on a fixed income. Raise rates somewhere else to protect those in the greatest need.

It’s unimaginable increase of the monthly bus pass for disabled riders by 220%. I can understand the need to increase prices but what on earth would make you think 220% increase was appropriate for those who are already on a strict fixed and at times unrealistic budget. Shame on you. As a resident of Camarillo (I live across the street from Mission Oaks Park) I would ask you to reconsider and adjust the increase for the disabled monthly pass so our neighbors can afford to take the CAT and continue to be active members of the community.
