We, the interior design students of the Illinois Institute of Art at Chicago, would like you to bring back Peter Harlan as a professor. He was by far the most knowledgeable, helpful and caring professor on your staff. He dedicated his life and time to provide a quality education and personal attention to help provide each of his students with the opportunity to succeed. Letting him go would be a detriment to us your students, and to the overall quality of your interior design program. Peter has provided us with so much assistance over the years, we feel it is our turn now to help him in his time of need in any way possible, and will not give up until we feel you are taking our opinion and our education seriously in this matter.
Please reward not tenure, but quality teaching. Help ensure the continued quality of our interior design program by bringing Peter Harlan back.

Peter has always made himself available for guidance and assistance for both his current and non current students. Always patient, no question was ever deemed irrelevant. He is a great teacher, and we will be lost without him
As a professional in the industry myself, Peter is by far the most valuable asset you have in your interior design program. He was instrumental in my education. He is the quality instructor you absolutely need.
Peter Harlan is hands down the best teacher this school had. I waited to take certain credits during quarters when he taught those classes. Peter and John Manfredy were the two teachers that challenged me at this school and made the classes interesting. You have no idea what you have lost in letting Peter go and shame for the current students!
peter harlan is a great professor. He takes time to help each student patiently and enjoy his teaching. he needs to be back. i was actually looking forward to take CAD 2 with him this coming up quarter and now we are not. please bring him back. its important for us students for interior design.
Valuable teachers are hard to find especially those that actually make an impact in our lives, but for Peter Harlan I can say that he is an amazing dedicated teacher with patience and much knowledge of what we are to face in the real world. We ask that you take our petition into consideration, and bring our teacher back.
Peter Harlan is a huge asset that added value to the Interior Design Department! His approach to educating his students is cherished and respected to the utmost degree. Peter Harlan is a phenomenal instructor and I have learned so much from him. Information taught by him was essential to my learning experience. Not only does he take time out of his busy schedule to help in anyway he can, but he is considerate and cares that we the students understand what is being taught to us. He always had creative ways to engage students to learn with enthusiasm. He took time to help us understand and relate things to us for OUR benefit. HE CARED ABOUT OUR EDUCATION!!! MORE IMPORTANTLY, IT IS EXTREMELY RARE TO FIND AND HAVE QUALITY EDUCATORS LIKE PETER HARLAN. His absence DEVALUES what is left of the ID Department at the Illinois Institute of Art. Peter Harlan is a gem and letting him go was a big mistake along with the release of other great instructors that made the ID Department strong.
Peter is the best teacher AI-Chicago has in the Interior Design department. This is concerning to see.

Peter Harlan is considered an asset to many students education. The Illinois Institute of Art - Chicago are only hurting themselves by letting him and the other teachers I fortunately got to experience and consider a crutial part of my education.
