I believe that it is cruel to leave an animal outside in extreme weather. Doesn't matter if hot or cold they should not be left in that.

The fact that this needs to be petitioned is absolutely ridiculous!! This speaks to the essence of who we are as humans. It is our compassion, ability to think that sets us apart from the animal kingdom. The sad part is, they often teach us so much more than we could possibly teach them. This is common sense!! Protect those that can't protect themselves and treat ALL of God's creation with compassion and respect!

We need to amend the laws against people who harm or endanger animals NOW! This is totally unexceptable and we need to stand up and voice for those poor animals that can not do it themselves. I would gladly start a physical petition if it would help. Rose Marie Hogue

If people cannot be humane to animals they should not be allowed to own any. It's disgusting to think anyone could leave a dog out in the freezing cold. Stricter laws are needed immediately.

My old neighbours left their dogs out for 4 -6 hours or more every night whether it be cold or hot no shelter food water etc I called humane society 3 times they did nothing poor dogs are prolly sick with pneumonia right now I moved the people continue to do it on Campbell fourth door on the left going north on Campbell from the intersection of Campbell and totten

Dogs are suppose to be part of your family,you wouldn't put your mother out in this weather, so dont put the dog out in it....
