The purpose of this petition is to ask for signatures of those who live in Township's affected by the SRPD be willing to pay a public safety tax if needed, to help fund the SRPD. This does not have to be a large tax (not just for home owners but anyone with an address with in the affected Township's)
This is in no way suggesting a public safety tax it is asking who would be willing to pay if ever became needed
Please only sign this if you live with in the area affected
If a separate tax is what it takes then so be it. But I am left to wonder why only one Pequea Twp. supervisor spoke at this important meeting and why the supervisor who is a retired police officer kept turning away from the people and said nothing. I do not believe an extra tax is really necessary, I believe financial responsibility is. The supervisors frequently have problems in this arena.
