I have been reading through your stories about the 1987 delegation and they are truly moving. This momentum is entirely because of your passion for the mission rather than any work on my part. I am currently organizing these comments into a formal presentation for the mayor.

i remember hearing about this when i was a kid in school. still think its amazing they sat down with gorbachev.
This is such a cool piece of history for our city to recognize. My cousin went on one of these trips and it changed her outlook on life completely.
GO GORBACHEV!! That was a huge deal back then. Montgomery needs to own this legacy.
Bring it back. Young people need to see the world beyond what is on the news.
About time we remembered this trip. It was a big deal for Alabama.

We need more programs like this today. People to people connections are what the world is missing right now. Make it happen.
