We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge Canada Post to ensure that the existing Downtown Canada Post service provider be maintained at its current location 232 Main Street until such time that an alternative service provider can be located within the downtown community.
This petition will be sent to Canada Post with copies to MP Stockwell Day and Penticton City Council.
I have been walking past the storefront at 232 Main Street every day and the reality of this closure feels even more pressing now. Local businesses are still telling me they have no plan for their shipping needs once this branch disappears next month. I am currently working on a formal letter to share our collective frustration with the leadership at Canada Post.

Seeing this community rally around our local post office has been overwhelming and humbling. Your commitment to keeping our downtown accessible proves how much this location truly means to all of us.

This is the only spot I can walk to. Really dont want to have to drive all the way to the highway just to pick up a package.

Ridiculous idea to close it. Seniors rely on this location. Canada Post needs to think about the people living downtown for once.

Seriously? Another business leaving downtown. Bad for the neighborhood.
