There has been a child hit by a car, I believe. How long before there's a fatal accident??

Too much confusion. Alternatives available. Put bollards up at the end of the road to prevent access.

Felixstowe town center should be for pedestrians if other towns can do it then why cant ours. Only will be time until a child gets run over by a car

This has been problem since it was built! I myself am a disabled mobility scooter user and I often go the other way as I don't feel safe not knowing when a car may go by!

I sat outside Neros last week as an elderly couple walked past a young man in a car came up behind them quite quickly and started honking his horn and shaking his head at them. So rude. It is obvious the shared space is not working. The couple after being shouted at had to sit down quite clearly shaken.

I absolutely agree. I think it was originally meant for only disabled and access but many drivers speed through - it is only a matter of time before someone is hurt or worse

Yes, Hamilton Road should be Car Free, even Disability Cars should be banned. - There are plenty of Public Car Parks adjacent.

Many cars drive straight through the town and out the other end. They don't need to . There's plenty of other routes.

I have a daughter with AUTISM and we have to keep dodging cars and bikes that don't think there is a speed limit! It would be nice to just walk through town without having to worry all the time

It works everywhere else so why not here. I am a car driver and I haven't driven through town since it has been altered. It needs changing to pedestrians only.

The shared space is a failure.

Totally agree

This was a totally rediculous idea from the start. So dangerous, especially when there are lorises unloading and cars trying to squeeze past. Why should the shoppers be the ones to always have to be on the lookout for their own safety?

Yes pedestrainise it as it is dangerous the way it is. It has to be one or the other

It is dangerous as cars do not travel slowly and sometimes are not heard, also anyone seems to park down there not just the disabled

Years ago the town centre was pedestrianised on Saturdays (apart from delivery vehicles) and I don't understand why it was changed to shared space, which causes confusion and can be very dangerous as a result.

I am a disabled person with a blue badge but I think the main town centre should be pedestrianised to make it safe. There are still plenty of places to park and plenty of access.

It would be nicer to be able to walk through the town and not worry about cars or bikes speeding through. It's not to far to walk from the car parks. Other towns have only pedestrian shopping areas.

Finally someone is doing something about this situation, when walking though town with my baby is her pram I don't appreciate getting beeped at to move as someone wants to drive through town. It's unsafe for any pedestrians when they come racing down there as they can't be bothered to go the long way!
