Final supporters
We the residents of Grantham will Unite in our SOS call for a pedestrian crossing at a very risky Junction down the Springfield Road. Time and again this important matter has been trivialised and pushed under the carpet , citing reasons such as not feasible in the interest of traffic flow. We need to really get our voice heard for the sake of our children and the elderly people ,really very vulnerable and often helpless and struggling to safely go across.

The one and only time I attempted to cross the junction, resulted in a car speeding around the corner onto Springfield road, almost knocking me over. I am neither a young child or elderly person, so get something done about this fit everyone's safety.
Something needs to be done urgently, before there's a fatal accident. I use this road and my husband is in a wheelchair!! Horrible for children, mums with pushchairs, everyone.
We definitely need a pedestrian crossing at this junction as it is incredibly busy and children and old people are at risk trying to cross the road. It is hard to believe that a crossing wasn't put in when McDonald's was built.
This section of road is very dangerous to cross, especially with children. I make my children walk right down to the crossing opposite Sainsburys rather than cross at thos dangerous point. Please put a pedestrian crossinh here before there is an accident.
This junction is the reason I will not allow my daughter to walk to school. You take your life in your hands; trying to navigate 3 lanes of traffic, and 2 blind corners. It would be safer to cross the A1 !!

I think it's about time there was a decent crossing there because so many parents use it for taking their children to schools also it's very dangerous when crossing with a pushchair or a mobility scooter too.

This road is so dangerous because your trying to cross on red and Cars are coming round the corner outside Macdonalds and I have often be stood in the middle of the road with my son because the cars don't stop and let you cross.Someone is going to get seriously hurt or killed on that road.
