We the citizens of Placer County are asking the Board of Supervisors to restructure the reporting of Placer County Animal Services (PCAS), taking the department out from under Environmental Health and Health & Human Services and reassigning the department to report directly to the county CEO
The feedback I have received from many of you reveals a deep concern regarding the current administrative oversight of our local animal services. I am currently organizing the testimonies gathered here to prepare a formal presentation for the upcoming session with our county leaders. Your contributions provide the necessary foundation for us to advocate for a more direct and accountable reporting structure.

Seeing this level of engagement confirms that our community truly values clear and effective governance for our animal services department. This momentum suggests that the Board of Supervisors will have to take our request for a change in leadership structure seriously.
