The Pennsylvania Tuition Relief Act is a tuition assistance program that will decrease the gap between cost attendance and family contribution toward education. The Governor's Proposal is to legalize a small number of video poker machines within the State of Pennsylvania to set up a revenue stream to fund education for Pennsylvania residents. This plan would provide a max of $7600.00 per year in the hands of Pennsylvania students who live is households with a combined income of less than 100,00 dollars a year. All Pennsylvania residents who attend 10 out of the 14 public intuitions within the state of Pennsylvania will have the opportunity to take advantage of this plan. Unfortunately Penn State University, Temple University, Lincoln University and The University of Pittsburgh have been excluded form the Plan. We are asking that you sign this petition to ask you local legislators to include these four schools in the plan.
I really thought this might just stay a small idea but seeing how many of you jumped on board has honestly left me dizzy. It feels strange to think that schools like Temple or Pitt were almost left behind in the draft but now we have enough eyes on this to actually force a conversation with the people in charge.

Just legalize the machines and pay for the kids school. Simple as that. Stop playing games with which schools get it.

Why exclude Pitt? My daughter is going there in the fall and we really need this help. Totally unfair to leave them out.

Fix this. Penn State students deserve the same shot as everyone else. We are all PA residents paying taxes.

This is ridiculous. Make it fair for all students in the state or dont do it at all.

Temple is in the heart of Philly and helping kids get degrees is huge for the city. Include them!
