The Education system is broken - letter grades are inflated, people don't care about school, and fewer students are going to college.
How do we fix it? Change our system of grading in grade-level classes; go from A's and F's, to P's (for pass) and F's (for fails). Additionally, increase student analysis, motivation, and classroom involvement in order to increase the rigor (not homework level) of grade-level classes.
What will this do? If more students have a better education, more will make it into college, which in turn has untold benefits for society - more money in the economy, more job opportunities, and many more amazing upsides. More college will lead to fewer incarcerated individuals, and can lead to over 1 MILLION dollars in additional earnings for the average person over the course of their life.
Why should you sign the petition? Even if a pass fail system won't work, if political players see that people care about education, are working so solve it... that will cause some real change in both the political climate and our world.
