Dear Travis County Government,
We the residents of Addison, and nearby neighborhoods, respectfully request that you pass a noise ordinance for those residing outside Austin City limits, so that as taxpaying citizens, we're afforded the same protection as other Austin residents, who can call about excessive noise, and have something done.
Without a noise ordinance, we are subjected to live concerts well into the night, which affects quality of life, since the sheriff is powerless to act without one. With a noise ordinance, residents could ask for lower volume, and earlier end-times at nearby live concert venues.
Aside from going the legal route, which pits one neighbor against an establishment to try to resolve the noise issue, the onus should be on the county to have laws for areas that are no longer so rural. There are 366 Addison residents, and growing, along with other nearby developments.

I have requested a formal meeting with the Commissioners Court to present the evidence we have gathered regarding the lack of enforcement. My current focus is refining the language for a proposed ordinance that addresses our specific residential concerns.

This area is developed enough with homes and families we need to be able to have order where we live.
Live music from Plaza Mexico on 812 vibrates our windows well past 10:30pm. On Sunday April 1st, the music kept us up until 12:30am. Due to the affects on my sleep, my effectiveness at work decreased on Monday April 2nd. We hear the music more than once a week.
In addition, please add that airplanes stay in the appropriate flight patterns for noise reduction.
Absolutely no reason my windows should vibrate from the music at 812 and 183
Tired of loud music on a Sunday, it's just ridiculous that we have to deal with that.
No reason the volume should be at the levels it is on a Sunday night at 12am
I’m ok with the music, just a decent sound level and not past a certain time.

Please help us by applying a noise ordinance in our area. Live music goes on until 1:00am on any given day, even Sundays and you can hear the bass inside our home. These venues are not using decimal readers at all! I manage a venue and I know the laws and I just hope y’all concider adding our area to help all of Austin. Thanks, 78744
