Support the Nurses of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital,located in Wilkes-Barre,PA., and tell for-profit Community Health Systems to put Patients before profits!. When the Tennessee-based CHS took over Wilkes-Barre General Hospital,they promised they would respect the community and the dedicated nursing staff.Now,they are refusing to agree to safe nurse staffing levels and their proposals for health care would toss caring employees into the ranks of the under-insured. Nurses deserve to be treated with respect and recognized for their critical work on behalf of the community. We urge you to negotiate fairly with the nurses, to offer them quality health care for their families and to truly listen to their concerns for safe staffing and patient safety.
