Transylvania University has recently formed a Transportation Committee to investigate and address issues relating to transportation that include, but are not limited to, having cars on campus, parking lots, and parking pass prices. Regarding the latter, the Transportation Committee has proposed implementing a very drastic increase in parking pass prices from their current price at $35 to at least a 200% increase for all classes. The Transylvania University Student Government Association issued a resolution stating its fervent opposition to any price hike, but if it were to happen, to limit it to only a 12% increase per year.
