It appears the Directors Of the cherry Creek Vista Parks and Recreation District are considering entering in a 30 year lease with a wirless phone carrier to erect a 50 foot cell tower with an adjoining building at Sunset Park. Sunset Park is a focal point in our community. People play tennis, kids use the play ground, Families gather for activities and kids use the park for soccer practice. We have lived in this community for 31 years. Our grown children and their children also live in the neighborhood. At this point in time there is no definitive ruling as to whether or not a cell tower could be harmful to those exposed to it. Why take a chance In additional to the possible risk, the tower does not blend into the surroundings and the result could also be a reduction in our property values Tell the board you are opposed to a cell tower.
